Nine National Site Awards for Lakehouse

Friday, May 20, 2016

Representatives of Lakehouse’s Regeneration and Construction divisions had plenty to celebrate at the prestigious National Site Awards earlier this month. The team picked up nine National Site Awards for a wide array of projects undertaken for Thurrock Council, Peabody, Hackney Homes, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Freebridge Community Housing, Essex County Council, London Borough of Lewisham and London Borough of Newham.

The Awards Scheme was set up by the Considerate Constructors Scheme in 1999 to recognise those sites registered with the Scheme that have raised the bar for considerate construction. Since that time the UK's most considerate sites have been rewarded and recognised for the contribution they have made towards improving the image of construction. The Scheme looks at the measures a site has put in place to be more considerate towards local neighbourhoods and the public, the workforce, and the environment.

Lakehouse picked up its first Gold Award for a project at Little Thurrock Primary School. Foster Property Maintenance, part of the Lakehouse Group, picked up its first National Site Award for a Freebridge Community Housing refurbishment project.

Congratulations to everyone involved in delivering these works.
